Transmission Chain Centre offers the MDH & MDL Series of water and chemical mono block pumps. These are primarily used for low viscosity liquids and works on the principal of a self-priming centrifugal pump.
A Centrifugal pump has two phases of operation: First a priming mode and then a pumping mode. In the priming mode the pump works as a liquid-ring pump; i.e the rotating impeller generates a vacuum around the impeller’s movement area which draws air into the pump from the suction line then due to the pressure created inside the pump the water is pulled and then pumped into the outlet.
A self-priming pump is suitable for handling fluids that may be more corrosive or have different viscosities than of water like chemicals used for fertigation equipment or cleaning liquids.

Our self priming mono block pumps have:
• Adapter & End shields made up of close grained cast iron which gives it high tensile strength.
• High Tensile Brass Impeller is used to give trouble free service. Motor windings are vacuum impregnated with synthetic varnish for higher moisture resistance.
• Superior quality mechanical seal for a long life and effective sealing against water leakage.
• Double Shielded pre-lubricated anti-friction ball bearings are fitted at both ends to withstand both radial and axial loads.
• Better insulating materials are used so that pump sets can withstand higher temperatures without failing.
• Self-Priming up to 7.5 meters at mean sea level.
• Fitted with Thermal Overload Protector (TOP).
• Sheet Metal Drip-proof Fan cooled motor body. (MDL-2SP, 4SP) Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) construction resists dust, moisture. (MDL-2TC, 4TC).
• Top mounted terminal box with covered capacitors.
